PRESENT
Rogers Lumber Company originated as a portable sawmill run by Arthur Lee Rogers in the early 1950’s.
In 1962, Joe Rogers Sr. joined his father in operating the company. At this point, Rogers Lumber Company was established. The mill was a circle sawmill and sold all of its production green. In 1970, the mill was replaced with a better more efficient sawmill.
During the 1970’s Arthur Rogers retired and left Joe Rogers Sr. to manage the company. Under the management of Joe Rogers Sr. many changes have taken place. The first change was to start selling production of air dried lumber instead of green lumber. That was followed in 1978 with the addition of its first dry kiln and planner. That kiln was followed by several more dry kilns.
In 1986, a gang re-saw was added. In 1988 the circle sawmill was converted to a band mill and more kilns were added.
In 1991, Joe Rogers Jr. joined his father in operating the company. In 1992, technology was embraced with the installation of an optimized carriage. Seeing the advantage of technology the mill went through a major renovation.
In 2000 the renovation resulted in a total optimized sawmill.
In 2013, Stephen Lancaster joined his grandfather and uncle in the sawmill business. In 2015 we started to manufacture pine and in 2016 we added an optimized trimmer and green drop sorter. The next generation continued to join Rogers Lumber Company in 2018 when Joe “Jake” Rogers III began working with his dad and grandfather and later joined by his younger brother Luke Rogers who started working along side in 2022.
Our latest addition in 2023 we started a dry end planer mill with a Gilbert planer to begin producing S4S Southern Yellow Pine. We also installed a Comact grade expert to increase lumber yield and efficiency.

PRESENT
Our latest addition was in 2023 we added a Dry Drop Sorter and Gilbert Planer and began producing S4S pine products. Since then production has continued to grow requiring more kilns and more storage.
